DEBATE IN SIGHT COP 21
EPFL+ECAL Lab, from the Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, sets new design strategies
to turn big data in meaningful insights from the debates.
Its work is based on the Horizon project from the EPFL Social Media Lab.
This project aims at offering structured and live visualization of the
climate change debates taking place on the social networks and at COP21 climate change conference.
Design research conducted by EPFL+ECAL Lab shows the necessity to move from data visualization
to data interaction strategies in the conception of new interfaces.
The Lab will perform a user experience testing campaign during COP 21 with a goal to set new standards
and methodology in interfaces designs, linked to media and big data.
